Open mouth

My wife has a cpap with the adams circuit and custom cpapman headgear. She has not been able to use the cpap because her mouth comes open during use. She has tried the chin strap that is intended to be used with her headgear, but it has been ineffective. The chin strap slips off her chin despite many attempts to adjust it.
What other strategies are available for the open mouth issue?
