I too was on Ambin to get sleep while adjusting to my cpap. I have been off for 4 days so far. I did take a Benidryl the first night for allergies and it can make you sleepy but no Ambin or anything for the last 3. Taper off by reducing the size of the pill, then get off on the weekend. Make sure you go to bed at the same time to get into a ritual.
I am waiting for the Nasal Aire II to arrive, it will be my 3rd interface to try. I freak out with masks too.
I tossed my Breeze in the night for the first few days but it was the wrong size nasal pillows, the Dreamseal is good but my face is oily and it leaks. I have tossed it a couple of times, I feel so much better when I get thru the night with them on. I found a chin strap over the headgear helped me to stop.
Keep working on it.
