There is sometimes a fine line between seemingly incompatible or opposite concepts.
Insanity vs genius, revolutionary discovery vs pure junk science.
Sometimes a person tries to connect dots that have a logical and intuitive basis, but in fact are purely coincidental. This can be found throught this forum.
The problem is that many people will buy into such concepts and a following is established. This may be popular, but unfounded.
I am a skeptic by nature and try to not accept anything without compelling data.
The breast feeding hypothesis is a prime example. May be, may not.
Critical thinking is the key here with a rigorous reliance on the scientific method. Many of the greatest discoveries are made from logical but erroneous conclusions. The solution is to find the correct reason from all the observations.
Sleep apnea is certainly in this category.
