I am of the generation that was breastfed -- I and my siblings. Breastfeeding **may** have some protective element, but my youngest brother had a very narrow trachea that contributed in a small way to his death shortly before age 4. I have wondered if I, too, have some of the same narrowing, thus allowing OSA to develop and gradually worsen as I gained weight and became progressively more exhausted.

I think there are just too many variables to attribute any substantial preventive protection to breastfeeding. Just my opinion.
