Sleepy: Periodically, if the water becomes hazy or mineral deposits seemed to be attached to the sidewalls, empty and wash with a detergent or perhaps vinegar. Otherwise, there should be no need for daily emptying and drying. Even the periodic ritual is mostly aesthetic rather than sanitary. In brief, treat it about like your shower stall.
