I really have been very lax about cleaning of late. Every morning, I wash the piece that comes in direct contact with my face. It is important to clean this piece as it comes in direct contact with one's skin. Also, I use Boroleum for contact soreness, and it's best to wash that off in the morning.

I dump all the excess water, and allow the unit to run dry for at least 10 minutes. I run it longer when traveling to avoid any moisture in the carrying case.
