I run it kind of at an angle...it "sticks" to my hair pretty well, so it's not exactly on the top of my head...it's further down, but not horizontal. :^) The other chin straps were so rigid, if I tried to fit it on my head, then over the lips, they kept falling off LOL The "stickiness" of the fabric keeps it in place really well. I wear it over the mask...A Mirage...yep, it looks a little funny, but it works *grin* It sounds like your solution works, too, though (*_*)
