I have gained 25 lbs in the gut (only) this past year. Of course we are asked to lose weight to decrease apnea. My problem is apnea has caused me to lose my tolerance for exercise. I ran 25 + miles/week for 30 years. I didn't just decide not to run anymore. I couldn't! Now I am just as tired from walking. In some cases, the person does need to START an exercise program. In others, the apnea/SDB causes a lack of tolerance, and physical decline. Just my opinion. Good Luck
