Some CPAP machines are 12V compatible and simply need to be hooked up to a battery. Power consumption of the newer models is fairly low, so a smaller battery should be sufficient for one night, more if you have a way of recharging it durring the day. For a recent camping trip I was going to use a sealed lead acid gel cell battery for use in electric wheel chairs and scooters (also in UPS battery back-up for computers). Plans fell through and I did not go, so I don't know how well it would have worked. The sealed batteries eliminate concerns with spilling, venting, etc., and are smaller, lighter, and cheaper than a deep cycle marine battery.
