I'm so happy to see a discussion of UARS. There doesn't seem to be too much info about it. I "possibly" have it and have been on a cpap for 3 months at pressure of 7 after spending many months trying to treat my problem as insomnia. I don't feel totally rested yet, I average about 6.5 hrs per night on it, have had few adjustment problems with it.

I have a few questions: Is the fact that I can usually be on CPAP for 6.5 hours every night evidence that it can help my UARS (or that I even have UARS)? Does the fact that I am still somewhat sleepy even after 3 months mean that it isn't working? How do I know that this is correct? I did not have a sleep test with it. I had 40 awakenings/arousals per hour in my sleep test but only 4 apneas/hour. Do UARS people have sleep tests with CPAPs like apnea people?
