CPAPs are medical equipment and are fit for hospital use as delievered. However, if a machine has been in your house for a while, cats may have chewed the cord, children (or adults) may have spilled water, and general wear and tear will have occurred. Thus, they may want to re-inspect your CPAP, at least for planned admissions.
Another thing that you might do is to print up a very official looking note, warning of dire consequences of the machine is not used. This should scare off anybody in the hosital who might be inclined to tell you not to use it (or not put it on you when you can't do it yourself).
