BAD idea, WITHOUT AT LEAST having the software to figure out what is going on. You can actually make yourself worse, from what I understand, with too high pressure. (I am NOT a doctor)

Have you tried different masks/interfaces? I have the software and card reader for my Remstar Auto and it is amazing what a difference a different interface can make.

MAYBE if you had an auto pap your risk would almost be viable, but if you have straight CPAP, that could be the issue and it could cause even more trouble at higher pressure.

All that being said, I have been at this just short of a year and I am STILL trying to get PAP to work. This really is a challenge and does wear you down just trying sometimes. Persistant and trying things usually does pay off eventually. But you really need to try SAFER variables.
