Sleep Apnea in the Navy??

Posted by benoch on September 07, 2004 at 22:08:46:

I have recently been told I have OASA (get my CPAP Tom.. Thank God.)I am also in the navy. They tell me I can stil go to Sea with the CPAP but I am worried about the safety of this. There was a sailor just recently out at see with his CPAP and there was a power spike that fried the machine and it took several weeks to get him another one. Once I start using my CPAP I do not want to stop and feel like crap again. What if the power goes out? Any advice on this would be great or if anyone has been in a simalar situation.
