If you are already getting rainout in the summer, you definitely would benefit with the heated hose. I couldn't imagine being without it. I hear that there may be competition coming up for the one source of heated hoses.

I wash any hose, if it ever needs it, by spraying some dilute vinegar into it, plugging it into the bathroom faucet, fill the hose a bit and slosh it or just flush it through back into the sink. Then hang dry over a heater vent.
