Greetings Mindful,

I am fairly new to the group too...having had my CPAP stuff only a few weeks. I can't answer all of your questions due to lack of experience with some of the situations. I can tell you my second night of the sleep study while being titrated was amazing. I slept better than I have in years...I also felt better for the next few days than I had felt in months...maybe years. I told my wife that I thought I now knew what a 47 year old guys was suppose to feel like. I have had my machine for 2 or so weeks and can't say I have felt that way again....I don't know why....maybe it was something they put in the humidifier water I don't know. I do feel better but not the dramatic difference I felt after the night on CPAP at the sleep center.

You will find like most that the interface is the most troublesome part. It may take you trying a few different mask's/nasal devices until you find what works for you.

You may find that correcting your apnea problems helps with your anxious feelings and depression. There is no way to know for sure what the improved sleep and breathing will mean for you. I think it is different for everyone.

A better nights sleep and an improved overall long term outlook for your general health should be expected for sure!

Good Luck!
