I started CPAP therapy at pressure 7 in April of 2000. I felt improvement almost immediately in the form of increased energy levels, mood elevation, feeling awake all day, not needing to take naps, etc. The improvements probably plateaued within a month, and have held steady ever since. My sleep test report says that I had an RDI or 58.8 on my back, 52.6 on my left side, and 22.9 on my right side.

Like I said before, I am extremely thankful for CPAP. I've suffered many of the usual problems like mask leaks. And I'm a mouth breather. Chin strap seems to take care of that problem for the most part.

I don't enjoy CPAP, but I am thankful for it. And I'm thankful that my oral appliance is able to get through a period of time away from it.

I hope this helps.

Cheers!
