Good for you on getting this figured out! I too was diagnosed with depression and after I found out I was basically getting no deep restorative sleep thought, NO WONDER I WAS DEPRESSED! I was exhaused and had no patience for things. Unfortunately, the CPAP wasn't a magic cure for my depression (but I'm wondering how long I have actually been sleep-deprived and how long it will take for my body and brain to adjust to actually sleeping again, so I am still hopeful). That being said, the CPAP has changed my life. I am constantly amazed at the feeling of being truly AWAKE! I just feel SO MUCH better during the day and I feel like I am getting good sleep at night. It took me about 6 weeks to get totally adjusted to the mask and machine, but I've been using it for just under 3 years now and I wouldn't go back to sleeping without it for ANYTHING! It's not a particularly fun treatment, but for me it is definitely worth the hassle.

I have looked on and off for three years now on articles about apnea and depression, but haven't found anything worth noting. I just have my own experience. I have no info on apnea and ADD. Good luck with your search and if you find any good reading or resources, please post them here!
