Partner getting sick

I am the partner of a new CPAP user. I am normally a very healthy person, hardly ever sick but since he has been using this machine I have caught every little think he has had. 3 illnesses in 3 weeks. Is it possible that the air he is breathing out is spreading the germs in a wider range and that is why I am getting it?
