Hi MJ...I have been on a Respironics BiPAP S/T for about 12 years. It has settings for both timed and demand respiration. I have used it on the demand setting since the beginning and it has worked flawlessly to relieve my OSA.
If there is not a medical reason for you to have a timed respiratory cycle, a machine with a demand setting would likely make your experience more comfortable.Hope this helps.
