SleepAssociate, if you would poll those of us who use pressure splints for our airways I believe you would find that the majority of us think that it should be required of those who work in the sleep medicine field to spend at least a week sleeping with CPAP in order to be certified. There are some things that just cannot be explained and must be experienced firsthand. Because you tried out a C-flex, your patients will be better treated than those who just get an explanation from a textbook.
In reference to C-flex, my mother-in-law was recently diagnosed with OSA and I was present when the sleep tech brought her new machine. The tech said that C-flex is the new standard for treating OSA in her organization, so it must be widely available.
Keep on learning!
