I didnt make either of those statements.

Previous posters made the general statement that "CPAP eliminates or lessens GERD." I just said that I would agree with such a general statement, because CPAP doesnt always address GERD, as my situation would illustrate.

In fact, as the popularity of meds like Prilosec and Nexium would attest, there are many people with GERD who dont have sleep apnea (including a friend of mine). So GERD is not always caused by sleep apnea.
