You're story is only the half of it. If the DME has the item in stock or can and do'es order it the charge to your insurance provider is three times greater than what you could get the exact same item for online, now the DME tell's you they have "contracted rates" with you're insurance yet you wind up paying for there price less the adjusment from the insurance or/and your deductable. The bottom line is we all wind up paying more in monthly insurance rates and you still pay about the same out of pocket expense with the DME as you would if you'd just purchased the item on you're own. We all get screwed by the DME and they get rich.
