anxiety

Posted by Ripsaw1 on January 06, 2005 at 14:58:29:

I have recently undergone my sleep studies, and was diagnosed with sleep apnea. A CPAP machine was prescribed and I began usage about a week ago. I am having a terrible time with anxiety, verging on outright panic attacks in the night. The mask is comfortable and the ramp function seems to work fine, but for some reason I feel like I can't breathe at some point in the night. I have never had a panic or anxiety attack before in my 54 years, and don't understand what is happening. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
