Thanks for the advice, okaychatt. I'm definitely looking forward to the REM rebound dreams - although I read something else in this forum saying that once you catch up with sleep debt, you don't really dream anymore at all!

I've just had a lot of problems with memory, concentration, etc. that have been painfully apparent especially these last few years - don't know how I made it through college, much less finished an honors thesis. Speculating that these problems could all have their source in one area - my poor sleep - is exhilarating, because it's something I can change with the CPAP. And yet it almost seems too good to be true...
