Help with a small mask

Posted by jenazees1 on January 07, 2005 at 09:20:09:

This may have been discussed somewhere but I can't find it so hope no one minds my asking.

Is anyone using a Mini Me or IQ mask on this forum?

I've been using a Comfort Classic but it just covers to much area. I'd like a mask that just covers my nose.........in other words small.

I've tried using the nasal pillows but do not like them as I hate anything blowing directly up my nostrils and I don't like the feel of them even resting lightly just inside my nostrils.

The Comfort Classic I'm using is OK but it just seems to cover more area than what seems necessary. It's the one I was fitted with during my sleep test but is there a better one out there???

I have trouble sleeping because I like it really cold in my room but the mask makes me feel overheated especially in warmer months plus the fit isn't that great......... it seems to shift during the night.

I tape my mouth with JJ cloth tape because it inevitably falls open and wakes me up. So there's no way I could use CPap without doing this.

Now my only problem is finding a mask SMALLER than a Comfort Classic.

A SMALL nasal mask just covering my nose would be great with a swivel so I can run the hose over my head.

With my Comfort Classic, I turn the swivel connection up and use large rubber bands around it and the mask to keep the hose in the upward position all night this way it's not venting on my face anywhere. This has worked great enabling me to turn from side to side.

Sorry to be rambling here but finding a small nasal mask is my BIGGEST question right now.

Thanks for any help.
