Yes a trip to the doctor is warranted. If you can bypass the family docotor or pediatrician and go directly to a sleep specialst, that would be better. According to Dr. Dement's book, most doctors know very little about sleep. The bokk was published about five years ago, and there has been only slight improvment. Please be aware that in addition to two types a Apnea, there are over seventy other known sleep disorders.
