Your machine is broken! Yoy should be entitled to a new one.

I have an also F&P that's over five years old. Complaint #1 is that is has no altitude adjustment, automatic or otherwise.

The told me that my insurnace will pay for a new one, only if it is broken and "cannot be repaired." I don't know whi wuold repair it, and I certainly couldn't send it away and go without for a few days! I would need same day repair or a loaner CPAP.
