Newbie - Question about Masks

Posted by Broken Dreams on February 28, 2005 at 19:06:31:

Having recently been told that I have mild sleep apnea, I've purchased a Respironics CPAP machine and a Flex Fit Nasal Mask by Fisher & Paykel. I'm having a great deal of trouble adjusting to the mask; for the most part, it is light and relatively comfortable, however, the bridge of my nose is extremely sore and sensitive to touch after a couple of nights with this mask. I think I've got it adjusted properly so I don't know where the irritation point is. I was wondering if the nasal "pillows" are a better choice. Respironics has a Comfort Mask with two attachments.....can anyone give me their thoughts on the nasal pillows versus the nasal mask?

Thanks much!
