For some people, sleep apnea can be made better by weight loss. In others, there is no more weight to loose, so it's not the problem.

Yet it has been proven, certainly, that excess weight and sleep apnea are DIRECTLY related in some people.

It's always good healthwise to maintain an ideal weight. Whether that can be easily achieved is another topic.
