Since you were diagnosed under the old plan, the old plan ought to pay. Anyhow, I guess that this should be an object lesson not to go for major tests when your plan is about to change.

If this is an employer sponsored plan (and you're in the U.S.), it is illegal to exclude pre-existing conditions.
