After test..why all this blood work

Posted by lyoncub on March 02, 2005 at 15:15:46:

I had an overnight sleep study done last Weds. This evening (Weds.)there was a message on my answering maching from my PCP stating the sleep labs wants me to get a *ton* of lab work done. I already have panic disorder and am terrified.

Why would the physician at the sleep center wants blood work done? What could he be looking for?

Is this normal or does it probably mean I have a problem?

I called the lab and the doc had gone home.

Now I am terrified of going to sleep. I will worry and ruminate about this. I looked everyone and saw no one mention blood work as a diagnostic tool.

The PCP's office was vague and just said the tests were for CBC, HGB, B12, FBS, lipids ,etc.

PLEASE ANYONE REPLY ASAP.

Thanks in advance!
