I think I can relate. As I started to wake up with CPAP (three years ago), I looked at my life and was appalled. Also felt at a loss as to exactly what to do next now that I didn't just want to lie down and sleep all the time. I always knew the sleep-deprived me was not the real me, but I thought it was a consequence of getting older. Part of my solution was to get hooked up with a peer counselor and set new goals and priorities.

Try not to spend a lot of time in regrets over what you've lost in all those years. Do your mourning and move on. I don't mean to sound cold. Life can be joyous and beautiful and you don't want to waste any more time. You get to choose and now you have the energy to support your choices. Blessings to you in your new life.
