My Fisher-Paykal CPAP is 6 years old. The only problem I have had with it is that the dial to adjust the heated humidifier no longer works. I was told the insurance will only pay for a new machine if it is old and/or broken.
Equipment is improving all the time. By the time your current machine needs service, you will probably be looking at much better equipment. So I agree with you-skip the additional insurance.
