Medical alert bracelet for Apnea?

Posted by DJDaddyK on March 07, 2005 at 17:29:52:

I recently joined the AMERICAN SLEEP APNEA ASSOCIATION (ASAA) and they sent me a medical-alert bracelet which identifies me as someone with apnea. My question is, do I really need to wear the thing? I mean I can see wearing a bracelet if you are diabetic or allergic or something like that, but why would it matter if I have apnea? What are they going to do, wake me up? lol Just wondering if anyone else got one of these and what y'all did with yours...
Steve
