WHOA! I was cleaning out my CPAP just now, and remembered this post. My humidifier is on my nightstand a little above the level of my head. It says right on the container "use below head level with in use". the only problem with this, is that the humidifier is separate from the CPAP machine..I have an older Sullivan 5 machine. I need to get a newer one with the humidifier attached to it. Right now, if I put the unit on the floor, the hose would probably knock over the humidifier during the night. The hose I have only enables the blower to be set up right next to the humidifier. Long story short, that's probabaly why I get the rain-out in my mask during the night when I turn up the heat any higher than 2 or 3. I only use a small amount of water in the chamber, and that might be why I'm having congestion. hmm....sure wish my appointment was before the end of May...argh :-) Speaking of nasal pillows, that's what I'll be asking for at my appointment, that mask has to go *grin*
