How Long

I just got my cpap two days ago and have yet to go to sleep with it on, after about three hours I take it off in frustration and go to sleep. How long did it take everybody to adjust?
Part of the problem is that I feel I am suffocating while it is on. Did anyone else go thru that? Plus I have been a stomach sleeper my whole life.
I am a very bad insomniac. Conditions have to be perfect for me to even get a few hours of sleep.
It has only been two days and I feel like such a wimp.
How did you all do it?
