I appreciate your insight, and somewhat agree that CPAP does make more known any pre-existing conditions in your sinuses and airway. However, once doesn't need scientific evidence to realize that CPAP injects air, filtered, unfiltered, humidified for otherwise directly into your nose, quite literally forcing bacteria, germs, dust, etc directly into the sinuses. Alot of these pests wouldn't have ended up in your sinuses to start with if the CPAP were not involved. Look at the pages and pages of people on this forum who have sinus problems and ask them if there sinuses were as horrible before CPAP. I think that since sleep apnea was found to be a disease, and it is, I think doctors are far to quick to push CPAP at newly diagnosed, and even mild to moderate cases. Too much enphasis on the quick fix, and not enough on a long term solution!!

All in my humble and honest opinion of course!!
