Unless you have a built-in or intergrated humidifier, the humidifier is connected to the CPAP with one hose, and the humidifier is connected to mask by another. Therefore, I don't understand why there would be any problem placing both on the floor. That is unless you placed the humidifier BEFORE the CPAP!! If you did, that's your problem!!
