I had this problem for months when I started! I've now been using CPAP without problems for a couple years.
I tried a few different masks and couldn't get anything to work. No matter what I tried I'd keep ripping it off in the middle of the night.
Eventually I switched over to the Breeze nasal pillows, which helped me out quite a bit. Even then I had some problems.
What eventually helped me was telling myself before I fell asleep to keep my mask on and repeating it a few times. It sounds tacky, but that's what I did.
Also, my equipment guy suggested setting an alarm to go off in the middle of the night to make sure I still had it on. If not, put it on, and the next night move the alarm up earlier. Apparently, if you do this often enough you'll train yourself to keep it on.
I never had to try the last suggestion since the first one worked, but it's another thing to try.
Best of luck. Hang in there.
