If you can't stand it without the humidity, then you'll have to take your HC-201. I don't think that you can turn it off completely (just don't put in any water). I've take the HC-201 to lots of places as I already said.

Remember that this unit has a three prong plug, so be careful to bring grounded adapters for all the countries that yoy're planning to visit. The manufaturer does not recommend connecting to the electricity without grounding it.
