Newly Diagnosed Severe OSA

Posted by foggy on July 11, 2005 at 12:17:00:

Hello, I'm a 26 year old male diagnosed with OSA 2 months ago. I'm 5' 7" and 158 lbs. According to my sleep study results I have an AHI of 58, which I understand is considered fairly severe. But what really concerns me is my sleep efficiency score of 7 percent. Doing the math this would mean that I slept between 25 to 30 mins that whole night. I had a hard time fallind asleep with all those wires and straps not to mention the uncomfortable bed. Is this enough sleep time for them to give me an accurate diagnosis?

Thank you for your time,

foggy
