Posted by bredren on July 12, 2005 at 15:50:40:Hello, I was prescribed a cpap machine with a startup setting of 7. I've tried it many times for about a half an hour and it hasn't worked. Maybe i do drift off to sleep and wake up again. Anyway, I end up taking it off, figuring i'll at least get some sleep without it. Those that have success with the machine say if you keep trying, it works. I know a guy who says he falls asleep in 2 minutes with it. Is it possible that (despite what the docs might say) that it just doesn't work for some people ?
