The ramp idea might really be part of the problem here! If your machine is set to ramp up to a pressure of 7 over a half-hour time period and you end up taking off the mask after only 20 mins. you might not even be getting the full effect. I'd lie down for at least an hour in the afternoon or early evening before bedtime and see what happens. Does the pressure increase?

And, 7 might be low but to get it changed you'll have to go back to your Dr. and get a new prescription. That might also be worth doing. I started at 10 and am now at 12 - it changed a few (3-4) months after I got the machine (I also gained weight, which didn't help things).
