finding a good DME in Seattle

Posted by sanctacaris on July 20, 2005 at 17:05:23:

Hi, all. I'm a newbie going in for my CPAP titration tonight. I just got my diagnosis of moderate/severe apnea yesterday and amazingly they had an opening at the sleep lab the following night. So as of tomorrow morning I'll be trying to find someone to buy (with an assist from my insurance) CPAP gear from. I gather from the posts on this board that a good DME is hard to find. So for those of you who've had success, how did you find someone good?

I gather asking for info on specific doctors isn't kosher, but am I allowed to ask for recommendations of good DMEs in Seattle? If not, are there other forums where such a question could be asked or where people review/discuss their experiences with specific companies? The number of choices out there is pretty overwhelming, and the number of bad experiences I've seen reported is pretty daunting.

Thanks! And thanks for all the other great posts on this site. It's been hugely helpful to browse through all the postings.
