There is a long list of reasons why we can't allow patients talking about particular doctors other than the obvious possible legal liabilities.

Most important: There is no way to verify the data reported. There is no way to know if the posting is coming from a person in a competitive sleep lab or from someone in the sleep lab where the doctor is working.

So a good sleep doc could get a bad reputation from a few postings from people who have never seen him, or just a couple people who saw him and didn't like the sleep tech or the results of the study. Not all patients are happy even after they see the best sleep docs in the community, and they are usually the most vocal. The happy patients typically do not run to the internet and praise their doctor.

Again, the list goes on.
