It seems like a logical theory that one will get so tired that the body will sleep regardless, but it hasn't worked that way for me. Various people have reported great success with herbs, OTC supplements, autosuggestion and so on. Seems like each person has to find their own sleep salvation, in a manner of speaking.

For a better understanding of sleep, sleep rhythms and various issues, Dr. Dement's book, 'The Promise of Sleep,' can be very helpful.
