I am not 33, but know the feeling of feeling like someone from "star wars". I was very embarrassed to be seen with the contraption on for the first time in front of my husband. He put it very nicely (thank God for his supportive stance): "I'd rather wake up to you in a mask, than wake up to you dead next to me because of the seriousness of your apnea and your being too vain to wear the equipment". Sort of takes the vanity thing right out of it, doesn't it? This is a very, very serious ailment. Read these forums and get information. Your true friends and family, will support you through this if you inform them of your findings, so will the people on this site. Good luck with this journey.
