It was probably a good decision. Thankfully, it was your [good] judgement, not government intrusion. Once you're effectively treated, you should be able to drive again. Meanwhile, keep the car and renew the license.

You should consider either nasal pillows or a custom mask, if your face is that extraodrdinary.
