You are correct - it IS possible to die suddenly from complications brought on by sleep apnea.

I just was trying to make the point that apnea itself is not a primary cause of sudden death.

The original poster seemed pretty upset that they might die before their sleep study and CPAP.

A greater chance exists of falling asleep at the wheel due to daytime sleepiness and having a fatal auto accident.
