I think as Sleepy-in-Seattle says, you might want to look at your definition of normal.

Many people must wear glasses. Are they 'not normal'?

Ray Charles was blind; was he 'not normal'? (We're not talking about his extraordinary talent here, which was, indeed, not the norm.)

Many people have ulcers and must watch their diets; are they 'not normal'?

My Uncle Bill was 6'8" tall and had to duck to go through many doorways; I guess he was 'not normal.'

I don't think any of us like the idea of modifying our lifestyle, eating habits or other behaviors in order to remain healthy. I know I had a lot of resentment at times at the changes I had to make to reduce my allergies. Hopefully, we come to some acceptance and move on with restored energy and renewed zest for life. Good luck to you.
